Helpline Support Specialist

The Ambitious Resources Ltd helpline plays a vital role in supporting families with children and young people who have Special Educational Needs (SEN).
This crucial position involves providing empathetic support to families navigating the complexities of SEN processes. Key responsibilities include:
- Taking calls and offering guidance to families, signposting them to appropriate next steps.
- Volunteer management: overseeing a team of 30+ volunteers across the UK, providing mentoring, supervision, and feedback.
- Training & recruitment: recruiting new volunteers and running training sessions to maintain a skilled team.
- Continuous improvement: gathering feedback from families and volunteers to enhance the helpline service.
- Case summarisation: identifying whether calls are new/complex cases or first-tier issues.
We seek an individual with excellent communication skills, strong English language proficiency, and attention to detail. Knowledge of SEND law is essential, and IPSEA qualifications are preferred but not mandatory.
Key Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and excellent command of the English language.
- Organised with great attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SEND law (IPSEA qualifications preferred).
Estimated Salary: £37,500 per annum, depending on experience.
