About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance to ensure minimal production downtime. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining accurate maintenance records, leading projects for new machinery and equipment installation, and providing technical assistance to other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance to minimize production downtime
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records
  • Lead projects for new machinery and equipment installation

  • Identify key maintenance issues and drive continuous improvements

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Time-served and qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering, coupled with strong mechanical skills
  • 2 years post-apprenticeship industry experience
  • Previous experience within a maintenance role, preferably in the food industry
  • Good working knowledge of single and 3-phase electrical installations and equipment
  • Ability to diagnose faults on electrical control circuits, general electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment
  • Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment
  • Ability to set up and program motor inverters and various control gear, including temperature controllers, counters, and timers
  • Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
