About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to lead our nursing team at Spring Wood Lodge, a mental health service provided by Elysium Healthcare. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality care and support to our service users, while promoting good teamwork and collaboration among your colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delegate nursing tasks to Nurses working in the unit and coordinate with other teams
  • Monitor service users' conditions and respond to changes
  • Supervise other members within the team's unit and provide guidance and support
  • Make critical decisions regarding service user assignments, staff scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Be liaison between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals, with effective communication and collaboration

Requirements

  • A relevant nursing qualification
  • NMC registration
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
  • Relevant experience in a similar environment
  • Proven track record of leadership skills

About the Service

Spring Wood Lodge is a 22-bedded mental health service located in Guiseley, on the outskirts of Leeds. Our service provides inpatient rehabilitation and high dependency care to individuals with complex mental health needs. We have a range of facilities, including an exercise studio, hair and beauty salon, and communal living spaces.
