Coba Education Ltd is seeking a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with special educational needs in mainstream primary schools within Northampton and Milton Keynes.

The successful candidate will work under the direction of an SEN teacher, providing assistance to pupils to help them succeed in their learning. This role involves supporting students with various special needs, including Autism/ASD, EBSD, SLD, and PMLD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • SUPPORTING STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS: Assist students with special educational needs in the classroom, as directed by the SEN teacher.
  • DAILY SUPPORT: Provide day-to-day support to students, promoting their learning and well-being.
  • VARIABLE WORKLOAD: Manage a variable workload, adapting to the needs of each student and the school environment.
Requirements:
  • EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Hold Level 2 and 3 qualifications in teaching or a related field.
  • COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Possess excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with teachers and other support staff.
  • Behaviour Management: Be able to use positive reinforcement techniques when supporting students with behaviour difficulties.
  • TEAM-TEACH TRAINING: Hold training in Team-Teach or Positive Handling.
