The Role:

You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our glasshouse facility, ensuring the smooth running of our operations and achieving our key performance indicators. Key duties include managing the glasshouse P&L account, setting and delivering yearly budgets, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the glasshouse P&L account and ensure profitability
  • Set and deliver yearly budgets
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met
  • Oversee site maintenance and labour management
  • Manage staff recruitment and technical aspects such as production forecasting, sale prices, and supplier relationships

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an operations management role, preferably in the agricultural sector
  • Experience in a glasshouse environment is preferred
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and various systems
  • Good analytical and data management capabilities

Please note that this is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to work a rota including weekends and call-outs.
