Job Summary

This is a casual home care support position within the Council's Health & Social Care Directorate.

About the Role

You will provide direct personal care to older people in their own homes. It is desirable that you have experience of care work and an SVQ2 qualification in Social Care. You should be able to respond to situations in a calm and flexible way.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct personal care to older people in their own homes
  • Care for people with a range of complex needs
  • Work without direct supervision, requiring self-reliance
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid SVQ2 qualification in Social Care or equivalent
  • Experience of caring for people with complex needs
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions
Working Arrangements

This is a casual contract with variable hours negotiable with service. Previous experience is desirable but not essential as training will be provided.

Salary and Benefits

We estimate the salary for this role to be around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes benefits such as paid time off and opportunities for career development.
