Job Title: Medical Editor

OPEN Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Editor to join our team. As a Medical Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality, and consistency of scientific content across various client deliverables and accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and edit scientific content, including manuscripts, posters, and presentations, to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical and scientific, client services, and creative services, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive style guides for assigned accounts, ensuring consistency in formatting, tone, and style.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry guidelines, including Good Publication Practice, and ensure compliance in all editorial work.
  • Submit accurate and timely timesheets and expense records.

Requirements:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent.
  • Editorial experience within a medical communications company or related field, with a working knowledge of editorial processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in editing/styling scientific content.
  • Excellent knowledge of general grammar and punctuation rules.
  • Proficiency in MS365, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to follow Editorial Services Team processes and procedures.
  • Ability to review own work for accuracy and consistency.
  • Ability to multitask in order to meet multiple deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Demonstrated ability in using/maintaining reference management databases.
