Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pharmaceutical Buyer to join our team at Montu UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing the inventory of medical cannabis products and related supplies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and Procurement: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of medical cannabis products and related supplies, and establish and maintain relationships with reputable suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
  • Purchasing: Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures, and ensure timely and accurate delivery of products and resolve any issues related to orders.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels of all products, implement and maintain inventory control systems to track product quantities and movements, and conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all purchased products meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements, and coordinate with the import partners to conduct inspections and testing of incoming products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Qualified or working towards being a qualified Responsible Person (RP), with a willingness to take on responsibility of the RP within the procurement side of the business.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical cannabis industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical cannabis products and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Proficient in procurement software and tools (e.g. ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Shopify, Xero).
