Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for providing support to our UK Head of Procurement and ensuring the effective management of direct procurement spend for VVUK based brands.
Key Responsibilities- Provide support to the UK Head of Procurement in the management of direct procurement spend for VVUK based brands.
- Lead cross-functional and site sourcing initiatives to ensure key stakeholder requirements are met.
- Project manage multi-site, multi-discipline cost initiatives to completion, tracking and reporting progress monthly.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies to meet business objectives and key stakeholder service levels.
- Ensure all procurement activity is aligned with the overall Procurement Strategy and centralized Procurement Policies.
- Perform all procurement-related activities, including pre-qualification of suppliers, negotiating supplier terms and conditions, and managing purchase price variances.
- Prepare contracts and tender management, ensuring implementation within appropriate timescales.
- Identify areas of continuous improvement and drive departmental projects from conception to completion.
- Research and identify prospective suppliers, evaluating their potential according to key business and Procurement Strategies.
- Effectively monitor and measure supplier performance, and resolve issues and concerns using the Procurement generated Balanced Scorecard approach.
- Minimum 3 years proven work experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies and purchasing systems, processes, and technologies.
- Approachable and flexible, able to adjust to all situations and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, ensuring appropriate administration is taken care of in a timely manner.
- Willingness to travel regularly between Southern UK sites on a regular basis.
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience.
