We are seeking an experienced Earthworks Examiner to join our team at Network Rail High Speed. As an Examiner, you will be responsible for examining all the earthworks across our route, and supporting with the examinations of off-track assets, structures, and buildings.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Examining earthwork structures on a risk-based frequency to determine their current condition.
  • Visual examination of structures and buildings to determine their current condition.
  • Investigating defects and deterioration in sufficient detail to identify all aspects of the severity and extent of any changed condition or situation.
  • Preparing technical reports identifying the findings of examinations.
  • Completing scoping visits and determining requirements for examinations.

You will be working closely with the Assistant Buildings & Civils Maintenance Engineer to ensure that all examinations are carried out to the highest standard.

We are looking for someone with experience of undertaking earthworks examinations, recording defects, and reporting on the findings for a selection of geologies and earthwork types. You should also have excellent technical report writing skills and a full UK driving licence.
