Senior Transport Planner Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Transport Planner to join our team at Access Talent Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing transportation plans and strategies for various civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement transportation plans and strategies that meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis, including traffic counts, travel surveys, and GIS mapping.
  • Undertake accessibility reviews and prepare reports to communicate the opportunities for sustainable travel modes.
  • Estimate trip generation and mode of travel for development proposals.
  • Use industry software to model junctions and assess the impact of traffic changes on capacity.
  • Prepare reports, including Access Appraisals, Travel Plans, Transport Assessments, and transport chapters for Environmental Statements.
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, planners, and highway authorities to develop positive working relationships.
  • Contribute to business development activities, such as LinkedIn and networking events.

Requirements:

  • Personal responsibility for professional development.
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality designs, reports, and drawings.
  • Proficiency with TRANSYT, LINSIG, ARCADY, PICADY, and AUTOCAD software.

Salary and Benefits:

£40,000 to £50,000 Per Annum
