Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. As an employee of Five Education, you will also enjoy benefits such as free specialist training, a recommend a friend bonus scheme, and subsidised initial DBS costs.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Learning Mentor to join our wellbeing team at a large secondary school in South Gloucestershire. As a Learning Mentor, you will work closely with students who require additional support, providing individualised help to develop their social and emotional development.

Main Responsibilities

  • Regular meetings with key students to discuss their progress and provide guidance and support
  • Providing individualised support to develop students' wellbeing and mental health
  • Monitoring students' progress and documenting it electronically
  • Collaborating with parents, staff, and external professionals to ensure effective support

Requirements

  • A background in mental health support or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs
