Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Officer to join our Public Protection team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £43,693 - £50,788 per annum (pro rata for part time).

The position requires an individual who can promote health and safety across the organisation, working closely with contractors, training providers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to reduce risks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and provide guidance on safe working practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of health and safety procedures, inspections, and incidents.
Requirements
  • A recognised qualification in health and safety, such as a NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate teams to drive up health and safety performance.
  • Understanding of innovative technology and digital solutions, with experience of making best use of them in managing services, interpreting data, and communicating with colleagues.
