Job Summary:

We are currently seeking an Occupational Safety Officer for Emergency Services to join our team. As a key member of our emergency services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our personnel operating in high-risk environments.

 

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience in occupational safety, including risk assessment, hazard identification, and control measures. You will be responsible for reviewing and updating our risk assessment database, monitoring and coordinating health and safety incidents, and providing guidance and support to senior management on implementing effective health and safety management systems.

 

You will also be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering health and safety training programs, as well as leading on all work associated with regional collaboration initiatives, including attending meetings and conducting inter-service safety audits.

 

We are looking for someone with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, who can effectively communicate complex information to diverse audiences and provide expert guidance on health and safety matters. You will need to have experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures, as well as experience in working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

 

In return for your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive salary of £35,235 to £37,938 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position, 37 hours per week, and is a fixed-term/secondment until further notice.
