Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant - Tax Specialist to join our team at Jobit. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established accountancy firm, providing excellent benefits and a competitive salary.

As a Financial Accountant - Tax Specialist, you will support the Partner and Manager in delivering non-audit services to clients in the agriculture and bloodstock sectors, contributing to the growth of this offering.

This role may require regional travel to clients' premises during business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare moderate to large accounts, including associated tax computations.
• Calculate accurate tax computations, including VAT, corporation tax, and personal tax.
• Ensure thorough understanding of assignment plans, instructions, and budgets before commencement.
• Provide regular updates on assignment progression to senior team members or portfolio holders.
• Conduct comprehensive reviews of your work prior to finalisation.
• Apply up-to-date technical knowledge to client assignments, ensuring efficiency and high-quality outcomes.
• Resolve client queries with well-considered solutions.

Requirements:

• Previously worked as an Accounts Semi Senior, Semi Senior Accountant, Practice Accountant, Client Accountant, Junior Accountant, Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
• Experience in accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of corporation tax, personal tax, VAT, and annual/management accounts.
• Background in using Farmplan, Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks Online.
• AAT qualified or ACA/ACCA part-qualified.
• Ideally have experience in either the agriculture or bloodstock sector.
• Good IT skills.
