We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our Economics Group within Newcastle University Business School. As a Lecturer in Economics, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, as well as contributing to research and academic activities.

About the Group

The Economics Group is a collegiate and generalist group with over 35 full-time research and teaching staff. We deliver teaching and learning of the highest quality, and we attract highly qualified students to our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

Key Responsibilities

As a Lecturer in Economics, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality teaching and learning, including lectures, tutorials, and workshops
  • Mentoring and supporting students throughout their studies
  • Setting and marking assessments, as well as contributing to curriculum development
  • Engaging in research and academic activities, including publishing papers and presenting at conferences
  • Contributing to the development of the Economics Group's research strategy and priorities
