Job Title: Autism Support Specialist - SEMH Educator

Five Education Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Autism Support Specialist - SEMH Educator in Taunton. This position involves working with young people who have Autism and SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs.

About the Role:
- The successful candidate will provide support to students in the classroom and around the school
- Assist in promoting social and emotional development, offering encouragement and guidance
- Collaborate with the class teacher to ensure all students can access the curriculum
- Implement behaviour management tools effectively

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-to-one support to students in the classroom and around the school as needed
2. Assist the class teacher in differentiating the curriculum to meet the needs of all students
3. Help implement behaviour management tools to create a positive learning environment
4. Work closely with the class teacher to promote social and emotional development in students

Requirements:
- Proven experience in supporting children and/or young people with SEND, ideally Autism, SEMH and/or SpLD
- Ability to demonstrate positive reinforcement techniques
- Right to work in the UK (we cannot accept sponsorship or skilled worker visas)
- Relevant references and DBS/police checks if necessary
- Ability to work 5 days a week (term time only), 8:30-15:30

Vetting and Interview Process:
- Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks, TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be an interview
