Job Summary

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Controls Engineer with experience of software and hardware for industrial control, to join our team. You will work on both R&D projects and commercial clients, helping to bring innovative AI solutions to industry. The ideal candidate will have strong software engineering skills and enjoy solving complex, multifaceted technical challenges. Additionally, someone with Robotics experience will also be desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build test rigs for robotics and engineering systems to assess the performance of AI controllers in real-world conditions. Develop AI training environments to optimise the functionality of AI controllers, including working with digital twin simulations and physical systems. Build physics engines and digital twin models of industrial processes and robotics as part of the AI training pipeline.

Requirements

University degree in engineering or science (e.g., mechatronics, computer science, physics). Minimum 2-5 years commercial experience on relevant projects. Ability to learn and work with proprietary AI software stacks to develop AI controllers. Strong programming skills, especially in Python and/or C++. Familiarity with robotics, drones, or similar projects is a plus.
