Job Title: Pharmacist Functional Assessor

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our team as a Functional Assessor, responsible for assessing individuals and how their disabilities or conditions affect their work life.

About the Role

As a Functional Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting physical examinations, taking medical histories, and producing concise reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility for benefits.

You will work independently, but as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and will be required to meet with individuals face-to-face and via telephone/video calls. You will need to be sensitive, compassionate, and able to ask the right questions while upholding best practice standards.

Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacist with a minimum of 12 months' post-registration experience within the past five years.
  • Continuous Professional Development present on your CV.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and respond to a rapidly changing environment.
  • IT skills and experience of using a range of software.
  • Self-aware and focused on professional development.
  • Honest and able to maintain integrity and customer confidentiality.
  • Motivated to contribute to quality customer service, demonstrating empathy, respect, and sensitivity in assessment delivery.
  • Able to work on your own initiative to meet deadlines and standards.
  • Ready to work as a reliable and efficient team member and willing to support the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
