About the RoleThis is a hybrid role, combining clinic and home-based work, with part-time hours available. As a Functional Assessor, you will assess customers' clinical conditions, taking detailed notes and creating written reports to support the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) in making decisions on benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Assess up to six customers per day, taking clinical observations and creating written reports
- Develop and maintain strong communication skills, displaying empathy and compassion
- Participate in industry-leading training, provided by experienced clinical tutors
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high-quality assessments and reports
Our client provides a comprehensive training program, lasting approximately six months, during which you will be paid. This role will maintain your registration with the GMC, and you will receive revalidation support to ensure your continued registration. You will also have access to ongoing CPD, with over 100 hours protected per annum, and the opportunity to develop your career within the organisation.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need to be a Registered Medical Practitioner with a minimum of two years' experience in patient-facing roles, dealing with a wide range of clinical conditions. Computer or IT skills are a distinct advantage, as is the ability to type at 30 words per minute.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this role is £72,000.00 per year, providing a competitive package for a medical professional looking to transition into a medico-legal career.
