We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Autism Assistant to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one support to students with ASD and SEMH needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Develop and implement behavior management strategies to mitigate challenging behaviors and promote positive relationships.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create personalized learning plans and ensure seamless transitions.
- Conduct regular progress updates and provide feedback to parents and caregivers.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with ASD and SEMH needs.
- Strong behavior management skills and ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications and certifications (e.g., teaching assistant, behavior support worker).
