Job Title: 2nd Chef

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Chef to join our team at Clumber House Care Home. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for supporting the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks to our residents. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Head Chef in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks
  • Assist with menu planning and stock management
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Supervise and train junior staff members
  • Contribute to the development of new recipes and menus
  • Work collaboratively with the Activities Team to cater for special events

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a care setting
  • Qualification(s) in catering
  • Qualification(s) in food safety/hygiene
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
