Job Title: 2nd Chef

Harbour Healthcare Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced 2nd Chef to join our team at Clumber House Care Home. As a 2nd Chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of culinary excellence and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Head Chef in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals and snacks throughout the day, ensuring that all residents' dietary needs are met.
  • Assist with menu planning, stock management, and ordering supplies to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Work collaboratively with the Activities Team to cater for special events and activities within the home.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to develop skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working in a care setting, preferably in a culinary role.
  • Qualifications in catering and food safety/hygiene.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
