Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at WWF-UK.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our efforts in addressing climate change and promoting sustainable development. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on environmental sustainability strategies and policies.

About the Role:

The Chief Climate Strategist will play a key role in developing and implementing our climate change strategy, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation and externally to drive positive change.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing climate change strategies and policies that align with WWF-UK's goals and objectives;
  • Providing expert advice on environmental sustainability matters to senior management and other stakeholders;
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external partners to drive climate action and promote sustainable development;
  • Identifying and evaluating opportunities for reducing carbon emissions and promoting renewable energy;
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of climate change policy and legislative developments.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in environmental sustainability, climate change, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategies and policies;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Highly analytical and problem-solving skills.
