We're looking for a skilled HGV Mechanic to join our esteemed client in Amesbury as an HGV Technician.

This role offers a chance to leverage your technical expertise in a dynamic and rewarding environment, while serving in the Army Reserves (REME or Army Reserve background highly desirable).

About the Role:
  • Maintain and repair HGVs to ensure they meet the highest safety standards and keep our roads safe.
  • Utilise your problem-solving skills to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with HGVs.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance tasks to prevent potential problems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and management to ensure efficient workflow and keep vehicles running on schedule.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician or similar role is essential.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills are required.
  • A deep understanding of HGV systems and components is crucial.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships.
  • Hold a Level 3 in Light Vehicle maintenance and Repair qualification with HGV Experience.
  • A time served mechanic with at least 2 years experience.
