Academic Support Specialist

Role Overview
LTF Recruitment Ltd is currently working with a number of excellent secondary schools in Derby and Derbyshire to appoint dedicated Teaching Assistants to support students with special educational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with students on a 1-1 and small group basis, supporting them with their learning and personal development.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve positive behavioural outcomes, in liaison with teaching staff.
- Support teaching staff with appropriate strategies when dealing with challenging behaviour.
- Ensure students receive regular and constructive feedback with regards to their progress.
- Support students throughout their school day, as identified in their individual education plan.

This is a long-term and potentially permanent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to make a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs.
