Software Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineering Specialist to join our South West Water team in Devon & Cornwall. This role offers hybrid working and a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
Job DescriptionAs a Software Engineering Specialist, you will work closely with the South West Water team to develop PLC software and SCADA page configurations for allocated projects. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Producing PLC software in line with industry standards.
- Developing functional design specifications and control philosophies.
- Contributing to final contract documentation, 'As-built' drawings, and test sheets for inclusion into operations and maintenance manuals.
- Undertaking factory and site testing as required, and liaising with Client's engineering and operational staff to ensure needs are understood and met.
The ideal candidate will have experience in programming various PLC platforms using IEC 61131-3 programming languages, as well as HMI's and SCADA pages. A relevant ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent is also required. Additionally, good commercial and contractual awareness is essential.
