About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Database Architect to join our team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust database systems that meet the needs of our critical organ allocation system.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in an Oracle DBA environment, including database design, physical layout, security, performance monitoring, and improvement. You will also have excellent query/procedural language skills, such as Oracle PL/SQL and SQL, as well as experience in producing user and technical documentation.

This is a full-time position with flexible working options, including home or remote working. The salary range for this role is £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.

NHS Blood and Transplant offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years service and to 33 days after 10 years. We also offer a defined benefit pension scheme and opportunities for continuous learning and development.
