Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead our Diagnostic Imaging department in achieving accreditation for Quality Standard in Imaging (QSI). As a Quality Lead and Accreditation Manager, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the accreditation and quality processes, ensuring compliance with UKAS standards and maintaining the service's reputation.

About the Role

This is a fixed-term / secondment position until 30th August 2025. The successful candidate will be required to have a 'can-do' attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues and other departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise the accreditation and quality processes in the Diagnostic Imaging services.
  • Maintain the service and liaise with UKAS regarding required annual submissions.
  • Undertake management and leadership tasks to support the accreditation processes.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience in the workplace.
  • Proven experience in a radiology department.
  • Experience of working at a senior level within a radiology service.
  • Current experience of managing a complex area of work and leading a multi-disciplinary team.

Desirable

  • Experience of chairing meetings.
  • Involvement with devising and implementing competency frameworks for staff training.
  • Experience of investigating DATIX incidents and managing outcomes.
