Caregiver Support Specialist

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in running a unit, working with the Nurse to aid with clinical duties for the home. You'll have completed or be working towards an NVQ3 in care and will drive and manage a team of Care Assistants.

Job Description- Day-to-day responsibility for running a unit: As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the care unit, ensuring that all residents receive the highest level of care and support.
- Supporting with clinical duties: You will work closely with the Nurse to assist with clinical duties, including observing, issuing medication, reviewing care plans, and maintaining accurate records.
- Driving and managing a team of Care Assistants: You will lead and motivate a team of Care Assistants, providing guidance and training to ensure they deliver high-quality care.
- Helping with training and supervision: You will support new staff members in their induction process, ensuring they feel welcome and supported in their role.
- Building relationships: You will develop strong relationships with residents, their families, and external teams, such as GPs and District Nurses, to provide seamless care coordination.
