Consultant Psychiatrist Position

The Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join their team. As a key member of the Sarum Community Mental Health Team, you will play a vital role in providing expert psychiatric care to patients in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and treat patients with psychiatric conditions in a community setting
- Undertake urgent and routine psychiatric assessments as needed
- Liaise with GPs and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
- Provide advice and consultation to multidisciplinary teams and attend regular meetings
- Ensure effective documentation and communication of clinical decisions and management plans
- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
- Experience of assessing and treating patients in a community setting
- Leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to assess and treat psychiatric problems in adults of working age
