Job Description: Marine Trade Manager

We are seeking an experienced Marine Trade Manager to join our team at Prax. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the movement of goods by sea, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing logistics to reduce costs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the movement of goods by sea, including planning, coordination, and execution of shipping operations.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including customs clearance, permits, and licenses.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with carriers, brokers, and other stakeholders to negotiate rates and services.
  • Manage and control shipping costs, including freight, fuel, and insurance expenses.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve shipping efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on shipping activities, including documentation, invoices, and payment receipts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as maritime trade, logistics, or international trade.
  • At least 5+ years' experience in marine trade, logistics, or a related field, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum

Location: Office based in Marble Arch, London
