Night Shift Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Night Shift Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of young people residing in our secure unit. This position requires a highly motivated individual who can provide support and supervision to our care team, while promoting a positive and nurturing environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise the care team during night shifts, ensuring that the unit is running smoothly and that the needs of our residents are met.
- Contribute to the planning, prioritizing, and organizing of group care for young people, ensuring that their needs are met and that they are provided with opportunities for personal growth and development.
- Manage the care and support provided to young people in a safe, secure, and positive environment, ensuring that it is in line with legislative, organizational, and procedural requirements.
- Supervise individuals to achieve agreed work plans and objectives, and ensure that they are given opportunities to maximize their performance.
Requirements:
- Experience of supporting vulnerable young people, with a commitment to upholding and promoting Children's Rights.
- Higher National Certificate (HNC) in Social Care and the Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in Caring for Children and Young People at Level 4 or above, or equivalent qualifications recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
- Ability to work as part of a team, with excellent communication, relationship building, and management skills.
- Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a registered supervisor within the first three months of employment, and registration as a registered supervisor with the SSSC within six months of employment.
