We are seeking a skilled Contract Officer to join our commercial department at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Contract Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of contracts related to property maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with Senior Surveyors to provide contract management advice and contractor performance updates.
- Analyse and become familiar with current contractor JCT contracts and advise on the correct processes and procedures.
- Support the operations team with contract administration, including attending contract pre-commencement and progress meetings as required.
- Prepare and send enquiries to contractors, inviting them to quote, and analyse quotes to make recommendations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to consistently deliver projects on time and within agreed budgets.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience of the different forms of building contract and be able to advise on what contracts to choose for particular projects. You will also need to have excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective vendor and stakeholder interaction, as well as attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities.
