About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Arboriculturist to join our team as a Senior Arboricultural Consultant. As a key member of our Arboricultural department, you will be responsible for managing projects, providing technical advice to clients, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Provide expert advice on arboriculture to clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Conduct arboriculture surveys, prepare reports, and develop mitigation strategies to enhance and protect Arboricultural features.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to develop their skills and professional judgment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to deliver Arboricultural services.
About You
  • A Level 4 or higher qualification in arboriculture or an equivalent environmental discipline.
  • A VALID or PTI qualification would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Arboricultural consultancy, with proven project management skills and experience in complex report writing.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • An advanced knowledge of Arboriculture in the context of the UK legislative and planning system.
  • Knowledge of GIS/AutoCAD systems would be advantageous.
  • Membership or eligibility to membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., The Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters).
  • A passion for Arboriculture and sustainable environmental design.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
