About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Arboricultural Consultant to join our team at FPCR Environment and Design Limited. As a key member of our Arboricultural department, you will be responsible for managing projects, providing technical advice to clients, and leading on complex Arboricultural surveys and assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Provide expert technical advice to clients, stakeholders, and project teams on Arboricultural matters.
  • Lead on and conduct Arboricultural surveys, including Arboricultural Impact Assessments and Arboricultural Method Statements.
  • Prepare and deliver a range of Arboricultural reports, including Arboricultural Survey Plans and Arboricultural Impact Assessments.
  • Design and implement mitigation measures to enhance and protect Arboricultural features.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to develop their skills and professional judgment.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

  • A Level 4 or higher qualification in arboriculture or an equivalent environmental discipline.
  • A VALID or PTI qualification would be advantageous.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Arboricultural consultancy, with a proven track record in project management, including complex sites and liaising with clients and project consultants.
  • Demonstrable experience in complex report writing, including Arboricultural Survey Plans, Arboricultural Reports, and Arboricultural Impact Assessments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • An advanced knowledge of Arboriculture in the context of the UK legislative and planning system.
  • Knowledge of GIS/AutoCAD systems would be advantageous.
  • Membership or eligibility to membership of a relevant professional body, such as The Arboricultural Association or Institute of Chartered Foresters.
  • A passion for Arboriculture and sustainable environmental design.
  • A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
