Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to Professor Ben Goldacre, Director of Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science and Professor of Evidence-Based Medicine.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality administrative support to the Director, including diary management, travel arrangements, and event organisation.
  • Assist with drafting reports and other documents, and maintain accurate records and files.
  • Interact with senior members of the Bennett Institute, the wider department and University, the NHS and other external organisations.
  • Manage a varied workload, work to deadlines, and exercise discretion and confidentiality when required.
  • Develop and maintain strong IT skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in administrative support, with a strong focus on organisational and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • High standard of numeracy and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate records and files.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive and proactive approach to work.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Working Arrangements

This is a full or part-time position (minimum 30 hours per week – must be five days per week). The successful candidate will be based at the Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Oxford, but will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with their line manager.
