Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Alaska Black is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in the UK and Middle East. As a principal contractor, we provide specialist design, installation, and maintenance services for projects and facilities within the rail sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Presentation of applications for payment, including contractual entitlements.
  • Ensuring payments are received in accordance with contract terms.
  • Submission of estimate and tendering information to clients.
  • Presentation of final accounts, including negotiation of contractual entitlements.
  • Preparation and presentation of weekly cost/value information, delivery schedules, and KPI data.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly cost/value reconciliations and final cost/value forecasts.
  • Procurement, negotiation, and placement of sub-contract orders.
  • Financial and commercial management of sub-contractors through to settlement of their final accounts.
  • Ensuring contractual letters/ notices and information are presented in accordance with contract requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with NEC4 (option A) and bespoke forms of contract.
  • Strong commercial and financial management skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
