Job Title: Cover Supervisors

GSL Education is seeking Cover Supervisors to join our team, providing valuable support in the classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be covering lessons and ensuring a positive learning environment when teachers are absent.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and manage the classroom in the teacher's absence.
  • Ensure students stay on task with their work.
  • Support students with any questions or issues they may have.
  • Maintain a calm and positive atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Work with school staff to follow behaviour and safeguarding policies.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
  • Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate considering a career in education.
  • Have an updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different classrooms.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Confidence in managing groups of students.
  • A genuine interest in helping students succeed.
