About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician in Sports Medicine to join our esteemed team at OrthTeam Centre. As a leading provider of MSK diagnosis, treatment, and surgery in the UK, we offer a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of patients, including elite athletes and individuals with complex medical conditions.
About the Team
Our team of consultants has developed the highest level of specialisation in various areas, including sport and exercise medicine, orthopaedics, peripheral nerve, spinal neurosurgery, neurology, pain management, rheumatology, endocrinology, and musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging. We work collaboratively to ensure better clinical outcomes for our patients and a more effective governance structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive care to patients and athletes, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of sports-related injuries and illnesses.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to promote overall physical health and performance.
- Collaborate with consultants and allied healthcare professionals within an elite setting.
- Stay at the forefront of advancements in sports medicine through continuous professional development.
Requirements
- MBChB qualification.
- Specialist Register for SEM (with GMC).
- FFSEM (UK) or equivalent.
- Evidence of annual appraisal and revalidation with GMC (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sports medicine at Consultant level, preferably working with elite athletes or in a high-performance environment.
- Experience in Paediatric Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
- Experience in Female Athlete Medicine.
- Experience in the diagnosis and management of complex sports injuries and medical conditions.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
