About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Credit Risk Modeler to join our team at Uncapped. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining credit strategies across the customer lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain credit risk models to optimize pricing strategies and minimize losses
  • Collaborate with data engineers and product teams to automate credit decisioning processes
  • Work closely with commercial teams to ensure credit risk requirements are considered in new proposition development
  • Model customer profitability to inform pricing decisions
  • Build and maintain tracking of business performance to identify emerging risks and inform credit strategy adjustments

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in a credit strategy setting, leading analytical functions for volume credit products
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and programming languages such as R, SAS, Python, or SQL
  • Educated to degree level or above in Statistics, Mathematics, or Econometrics
  • A deep understanding of the full credit lifecycle and commercial awareness
  • Exceptional analytical skills and ability to think critically
  • Strong communication skills, with experience delivering insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
