Psychology Teacher Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in psychology, a passion for teaching, and a commitment to engaging students of all backgrounds and abilities.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons, monitoring and assessing student progress, collaborating with colleagues, and engaging in extracurricular activities that promote student learning and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Deliver Engaging Lessons: Teach a comprehensive psychology curriculum that explores core areas such as cognitive, developmental, and social psychology, promoting student engagement and curiosity.
  • Monitor and Assess Progress: Evaluate student understanding and progress, providing constructive feedback that supports both their academic and personal development.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Share best practices with fellow educators, actively contributing to the growth and success of the school's psychology and wider academic programs.
  • Engage in Extracurricular Activities: Support and participate in psychology-related extracurricular activities, encouraging students to apply their knowledge in broader contexts.
Requirements:
  • Educational Background: Degree in Psychology or a closely related field.
  • Teaching Certification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching psychology at the secondary school level.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to professional development.
  • Additional Requirements: An Enhanced DBS on the update service.

£30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, makes this an attractive opportunity for experienced professionals.
