Job Overview

This position requires an experienced professional to work within our Exploitation Team, providing vital support to vulnerable children, young people, and their families. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a varied caseload, adhering to established policies, procedures, and legislative guidelines.

Main Duties
  • Manage a diverse caseload, prioritising tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, identifying areas of risk and need, and delivering targeted interventions to promote positive change.
  • Implement and maintain up-to-date care plans, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making data-driven decisions to inform future actions.
  • Submit high-quality reports within specified deadlines, providing clear and concise information to inform decision-making.
  • Represent the local authority at meetings, including child protection case conferences and court hearings.
  • Carry out direct work with children, young people, and their families, aligning with individualised care plans.
  • Comply with statutory obligations, adhering to departmental policies and practices.
  • Utilise digital tools, such as the Children Case Management (CCM) system, to document accurate case recordings and reports.

The ideal candidate will possess a social work qualification or equivalent, combined with experience in Health & Safety at Work, Data Protection, and other relevant statutory requirements. Registration with the relevant health professional council/governing body is also necessary.
