Job Summary
We are seeking a Quantity Surveyor / Project Manager Graduate to join our team. The successful candidate will support our continued growth and contribute to the delivery of our vision.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the measurement process of all quotations and tenders
- Support the Project Manager with the program of works
- Gain site experience working alongside engineers to gain electrical engineering experience in the high voltage industry
- Work towards gaining ENWL and SPEN authorisation (access and measurements)
- Assist in the preparation of any sub-contract tender action
- Support the operations team in capturing costs accurately against the appropriate works budget
- Assist in obtaining value for money through best practice procurement with the supply chain
- Use the management information system to track work progress and report on any contract KPIs
- Assist with risk management and mitigation
- Assist in the preparation of contract final accounts and support to the operational teams
- Assist in maintaining visibility of expenditure to ensure works are completed to budget
- Assist in the management of contract applications for payment by clients
Requirements
- Someone who can identify changes and potential problems in projects and performance
- An individual who understands risks and takes appropriate mitigation
- Good time management and an ability to plan ahead
- An individual who will pursue high standards, recognise improvement opportunities and learn from experience
- An individual that takes a personal pride in making improvements
- Ability to undertake logical and methodical interrogation of information, data, trends and keep accurate records and an audit trail
- An individual who is aware of the operational needs of the client, whilst taking account the commercial implications
- A customer-focused individual who is a team player and a self-motivated
Desirable Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience
- Degree within Quantity Surveying or Electrical Engineering
- Driver's License (or working towards)
