Job Title: Administrative/Telephony Officer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Administrative/Telephony Officer to join our team at HMCTS Bury St Edmunds. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our court services, handling telephony calls, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle telephony calls for county courts across the country, dealing with family-related matters
  • Answer calls regarding hearing dates and provide information to callers
  • Prepare papers and files for court, tribunals, hearings, and meetings
  • Produce court/tribunal documents and perform general photocopying and filing
  • Create and update records on our in-house computer system and data input
  • Open and dispatch post, and book, prepare, and organize meeting rooms
  • Prepare meeting agendas, joining instructions, handouts, and collect and assemble information
  • Check and verify documents and records, and process casework

Requirements:

  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Resilience, multitasking skills, and flexibility
  • Great attention to detail and ability to learn and undertake other duties if requested by management

What We Offer:

  • Hourly rate of £11.88
  • 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • Hybrid working arrangement (3 days office-based, 2 days working from home)
  • Holiday entitlement and pension scheme available
