Job Summary

Primary Care Careers has an opportunity for a secretarial administrator to support our busy administration teams. The successful candidate will work on a part-time basis for 15 hours per week, Tuesday and Friday, to assist with various administrative tasks.

Main Duties

  • Coordinate and process SARS requests, confirm verification in place, and process using IGPR software under supervision.
  • Transcribe dictations and manage telephone enquiries.
  • Process referrals via ERS and ensure safety netting is carried out for all 2 week wait referrals.
  • Monitor emails and sort information request e-mails.
  • Raise invoices and perform basic paperwork.
  • Recall long-term condition patients as per surgery protocol.
  • Complete S1 tasks and process insurance and medical reports.
  • Code clinical details into notes in line with agreed protocols.

Person Specification

Experience

  • Experience of dealing with medical paperwork and working with computer packages.
  • An understanding, acceptance, and adherence to the need for strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to use own judgement, resourcefulness, and common sense.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work without direct supervision.

Desirable

  • Experience of S1 clinical system and working in a GP practice or other primary care environment.
