We are seeking a skilled interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting services to clients across the UK. As a freelancer, you will have the flexibility to choose your assignments and work at your own pace.
Language Empire is a well-established company providing professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors. We are looking for an interpreter who can work in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organisations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English and another language, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for interpreting for people using legal, health, and local government services, checking the non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence, and liaising between the service user and service provider.
Requirements include:
- Fluent in English and another language
- All applicants must have the right to work in the UK
- You must be aged 21 or over
- Formal qualifications such as Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI), Community Interpreting, NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registered, or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
As a freelancer, you will have the opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home and choose your own schedule. We offer ongoing help and support from our dedicated in-house team and continuous professional development and support.
