Nuclear Industry Electrical Designer Job:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Industry Electrical Designer to join our team in Abingdon. As a Nuclear Industry Electrical Designer, you will work on designing electrical systems for various projects in the nuclear industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Design electrical systems for projects including precision positioning controls for Remote Handling systems, machinery controls, safety circuits, and LV/ELV systems.
  • Use electrical CAD software such as Trimble (Amtech), PAScal, and SEE Electrical to produce schematics, hook-ups, and other electrical design documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external engineering staff to deliver electrical system designs.
  • Contribute to hazard analysis and risk assessment exercises.

Requirements:

A degree or relevant qualification in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering is required. You should also have a good working knowledge of CAD systems and the ability to partner with wider disciplines across the business.

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per year
