Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer or Mechanical Fitter to join our team at one of our leading automated factories. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our production machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform planned preventative maintenance across a range of equipment and machinery.
  2. Assist with planned shutdowns and project work, refurbishing machines and replacing worn parts.

Requirements:

  • Completed a recognised Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualifications.
  • Maintenance experience; dealing with machinery and equipment problems and breakdowns and/or completing preventative maintenance of plant/industrial machinery.
  • Willing to take on and complete further training as part of your growth and development in the factory and company.

About the Role:

This is a varied and enjoyable role where you can expect to be challenged and supported as you help to continuously improve reliability and efficiency of production machinery. You will also benefit from opportunities to learn new skills, receive further training and develop your career both within this factory and company.

Working Hours:

2 weeks of Days (6am to 6pm) then 2 weeks of Nights (6pm to 6am), on a Panama shift pattern (working 7 out of every 14 days).

Location:

Commutable from Durham, Darlington, Billingham, Stockton on Tees, Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Sunderland, Eggleston, Consett and surrounding areas.
