We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced social care manager to join our team as a Branch Leader, covering Glasgow & East Dunbartonshire on a full-time, permanent basis.

About Cornerstone

Cornerstone is one of Scotland's largest charities, with over 40 years' experience providing care and support for adults and children with various support needs across Scotland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care services
  • Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and improvement
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including local authorities and community groups
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient delivery of services
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant statutory regulations and good practice

What We're Looking For

  • Experience of working in health & social care
  • Experience of running a local health & social care business, branch or division
  • Understanding of empowerment and coaching versus management and supervision
  • Understanding of developing an empowered workforce
  • Sound business skills, including planning, tender writing, analysis and reporting, networking and income generation
  • Experience of attracting new customers, securing new contracts and successful bid-writing and presentation
  • Knowledge of the political and strategic environment as it relates to social care
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrable experience of good financial management

Desirable Qualifications

  • SVQ Level 8/9 in a relevant discipline or equivalent management qualification
